Spring School for Matric Science students in Cape Town to revise work covered throughout the year. If students did not achieve the results they wanted in their June exam this is the perfect opportunity to catch up and fix what went wrong.
About the Physical Science Spring School
Our Matric Revision School is a comprehensive three week course run during the school holidays. We revise the entire Matric Physical Science syllabus covered throughout the year
The first ten lessons of the course covers all of the years syllabus. This is an opportunity to revise what you've already learned and then fill in the gaps. The final two sessions will be for going over past papers. We will prepare you for questions and what to expect in the final exams. We will also teach you useful exam tips and techniques!
Course Coordinator
The course will be taught by Andile. He has tutored for the UCT Physics department for 6 years – primarily first year engineering physics courses. He is comfortable tutoring Mathematics and Physics at high school and first year University level. Andile is a friendly and accommodating person. He is extremely patient and takes great pleasure in helping his students to develop a deeper understanding of science. Andile currently holds a Masters in Theoretical Physics (Distinction) from the University of Cape Town and is slowly working towards attaining his PhD in High Energy Experimental Physics

Day 8 - Reaction Rates & Chemical Equilbrium
Week 3 (15 - 19 October)
Day 9 - Paper 1 Exam revision
Exam revision questions. Exam past paper 1 to be given for homework.
Day 10 - Paper 2 Exam revision
Go over past paper 1 homework. Past paper 2 exam revision question. Exam past paper 2 to be given for homework.
Day 11 - Revision and class questions
Go over past paper 2 home work. Past paper 2 exam questions.
Day 12 - Exam Preparation, tips and tips
Class questions from both papers. Go over information sheets for both exams and what definitions to learn. Practice questions from both papers.
